The Coding Competition challenges participants to showcase their problem-solving, analytical, and programming skills.
Teams will tackle real-world problems, design solutions, and develop functional projects in a competitive setting.
Team Formation
Team Size: 2–3 members.
Eligibility: All participants must be students of SIT.
Inter-department teams are allowed and encouraged.
A participant can only be part of one team.
Event Format
Round 1: Problem Solving
Format: Pen-and-paper-based test (no electronic gadgets allowed).
Tasks include:
- Algorithm designing and flowchart representation.
- Optional pseudo code development.
- 3–5 algorithmic and data structure problems.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Accuracy of solutions.
- Time and space efficiency.
Round 2: Project Development Challenge
Format: Coding + Presentation.
Date & Time: April 22, 2025 (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Details:
- Teams will receive a theme or problem statement at the start.
- They must build a mini project or functional solution within the time limit.
Submission requirements:
- Source Code.
- Presentation (PDF).
Evaluation Criteria:
- Innovation & Creativity.
- Code Quality & Functionality.
- Technical Depth.
- Real-world Relevance.
Prizes
Winners and Runners-up will receive prizes and certificates.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
General Rules
Strictly no plagiarism – copied code leads to instant disqualification.
AI-generated code must be declared and may be subject to review.
Jury's decisions are final and binding.
Use of open-source libraries is allowed and encouraged.
Participants must bring their own laptops and chargers for on-site rounds.
